Alright, since we've moved this to storyboard, let's see what tropes we've come up with!
First, the Rangers.

-All of them once they morph. To explain, in their first fight with the putties, the teens couldn't hurt them at all and we're just getting thrashed. Once they Morphed, they crushed the putties with ease, went on to fight more putties and then took on Goldar himself.
-Speaking of which, the Putties themselves were able to thrash the teens during their first fight and shrug off bullets, and the Rangers are able to beat them unmorphed now!

-The First Morph where the teens go from being beaten up by the putties to thrashing them right back and then having an awesome brawl with Goldar.
-Speaking of the fight with Goldar, let's talk about that. There are six Rangers against just him. Goldar is fast enough to counter attacks from the teens even when they are attacking him four on one and beat them around despite his size and the armor on his body. It took a lot of teamwork and the team attacking in groups to hit him. Then, when he gets serious, the Rangers bring out their blade blasters and switch them to sword mode. Goldar blocks all of their attack and knocks them backwards, counters their lasers with his own eye lasters (Which, it should be noted, easily blew up a car. The Rangers tanked said shots.) and are just getting beaten around. Again, through teamwork and diversions, they manage to some damage to Goldar. They combine their blaster shots with the tower formation, overpower him in a beam struggle and seemingly blow him up......and Goldar keeps coming. At this point, Goldar shows just how scary strong he is by lifting up Jason by his leg and using him as a weapon, smacking the others, punting Sarah through the air, jumping after her, grabbing her and slamming her onto the ground, then taking to the skies and shooting down at them. Jason, having balls of steel, uses some help from the others to jump up after him, grabs onto him in mid-air and fights Goldar in the air, causing him to crash. The others then falcon kick him into the wall of a building and follow this up by shooting him over and over and over again, finally making the Gold Knight fall....and even this doesn't kill him, though he does retreat after this.
Just....damn.
-Bones, in the next episode, has a very dangerously genre savvy moment. In his initial fight with the Rangers, he doesn't do too well. Thus, like Canon Bones, he transports them to his Bones-Dimension....which is basically nightmare fuel, a dimension of skeletons that Bones can summon up to become skeleton warriors and they.are.everywhere, millions and millions of laughing skeleton's with swords that charge the Rangers en masse and happily avert Mook Chivalry. The Rangers outright state that they simply cannot possibly fight them all. Several awesome things happen here. For one, each Ranger gets utterly surrounded by hordes of skeletons and do very well for themselves despite the numbers, the Rangers even hitting the skeletons so hard they are crushing the skulls of the skeletons, breaking their legs, breaking them in half, etc. Trini, deciding that is just not going to work, finds Bones and goes after him. In response, Bones opens up the ground to HELL! Hellfire surges up from the crevice in the ground. Trini proceeds to leap through hellfire to get to Bones. He challenges her to fight him and his entire army alone. "Sounds Fair!" Trini proceeds to kick more ass as she does and then reaches Bones, fights him, breaks him into pieces again and this time she doesn't let him pull himself together. She grabs his head, runs off with it, and throws it into the hellfire he created and tells him he's fired, destroying the monster and the skeletons just as the others are being pinned down, saving everyone.
-Now, while THIS has been going on, Bandora's Giant Monster has been wreaking havoc through the city, smashing buildings and the like. With no Rangers in sight, Police Lieutenant Stone rolls up, takes out his shotgun, declares it the police's duty to protect this city and opens fire on it. The other police, at first afraid, follow his lead. They even set up a sniper to take shots at it's eye. They're efforts accomplish squat and they end up having to run and focus their efforts on getting civillians clear, but that took serious balls.
-Bulk and Skull even get a moment when a helicopter is knocked down by the Giant. Seeing as how no one else is around, they run over to the helicopter and pull the pilot free just before it explodes.
-When the Rangers return, they see the Monster. Not having Zords yet, they decide to take it on anyway and use the Tower Formation's combined blast to shoot into it's ear. The explosion hurts the monster a little and it goes after them. The Rangers dodge his punch and Jason runs along the monster's arm, shooting at it's eyes but gets swatted down and Billy catches him. Finally, Zordon sends them the Zords. With the superpowerful Zords at their disposal, the Power Rangers proceed to utterly thrash the Giant, first one at a time, then in the Tank Formation, then finally form the Mighty Megazord. Said Megazord proceeds to No Sell the punches from the Giant that were smashing buildings and making holes in them. The Megazord then demolishes it and destroys the Giant with the Power Sabre.

-This series is quite a bit darker then the canon MMPR while still retaining the general feel of the series. The murders of the Astronauts alone would enough, but Bones's skeleton dimension clinched it.

-Goldar. Of course.

-Even with his size and the armor he wears, Goldar is still scary fast, physically stronger then the Rangers and a damn good fighter, taking a lot of damage before going down.

-Bandora pulls this on an entire crowd of people when she introduces herself to the people of Angel Grove, followed shortly by magically forcing them to kneel down.
