The Mangler.
A giant mecha designed for warfare. Professor Darren Poblete dedicated years of his life to create this weapon and give it to the government. Decades of blood and sweat and tears to create an unstoppable superweapon. One day there as an accident, an explosion that buried Poblete under a pile of rubble, leaving him comatose and bed ridden and the project scrapped.
But he would not be forgotten. He would not let his life's work die.
Lately security guards have been reporting strange noises, seeing things that aren't there, equipment has gone missing.
Within an underground facility, The Mangler is slowly coming together on it's own. Darren Poblete's work will go on and when it is ready, it will show the world it's unstoppable power.

I like! She'll be a little different however.

Also as far as her role in the universe go. You know when you have big time villains like the Masters of Evil that would only recruit known villains as their field agents. Whatabout the little guy? Or the C-List to Unknown Villains who usually gets overlooked by villains like Doom or Loki? Thats where Insidious comes in. A villain who makes her income by selling superweapons, also a business associate to Kingpin. She'd take in any of those villains who gets overlooked and train them till they take a level in badass.

Thoughts?

An elite member of the Brotherhood of X-Men, he happily sided with his fellow mutants during the war, eagerly participating in taking down the rest of the Superheroes..
In present times he's been living a life of luxury. He owns two businesses: One is a Burlesque Strip Club for human and mutant women. While a lot of illegal activity goes down there, Blob makes a point to protect any of the women who work there from the more unsavory customers. Human, mutant or otherwise. The other is an underground fighting ring where people can beat the hell out of each other, humans are allowed to participate, though Blob is not above rigging the fights for laughs. Toad is co-owner of both and helps handle the technology side of things. Due to sloth and his constant eating, the peace time has lead to Blob gaining a large amount of size and weight as well. He is currently helping the Brotherhood hunt down Richards.
